While a single boom gate is often enough in itself, some special situations require a double boom. Such as when working with loading dock edges, the double boom can act as a loading dock safety gate. Both the booms are telescopic with a knob at the middle which is used to control their length. This makes this boom gate appropriate for places with low overhead height.

Both these booms stay connected with an additional bracket which helps with easy and synchronous movement. The receiver post on the other side includes a safety latch that locks the boom into place. It has then to be released manually for the boom to go up again. A gas strut mechanism assists in the rise and lowering of the boom, making the transition smooth and also safe.
