Capral Manufacturing is one of Australia’s leading aluminium solutions providers, running a major operation that processes raw aluminium into pipes, tubes, beams, elbows and angles at scale.
To power their production, they partnered with Focus Industrial for a high-performance, reliable compressed air system built to match their demands.
Our team installed an FC1200V 90kW variable-speed rotary screw compressor to support a complex, multi-stage production process. Aluminium is heated to 500°C, formed through moulds, and moved through automated conveyors and lifts with solenoid-controlled systems managing the stacking and packaging of finished product. Compressed air plays a role in heating, cooling, and the movement of material throughout the line.
Alongside the compressor, the installation included a refrigerated dryer, pre- and post-filtration, and 2 stainless steel piping, ensuring clean, dry air is delivered throughout the facility and protecting equipment for long-term productivity.
The variable speed drive also delivers a meaningful operational advantage: during potentially lower-demand night shifts, the compressor automatically scales back to match reduced output requirements, drawing only the electricity needed for that load. Resulting in no waste or unnecessary runtime, providing just the right amount of power for each shift.
