Our LVDTs can survive the temperature and radiation levels that are common to such environments. Existing installations are in Pressure Water Reactor (PWR), Boiler Water Reactor (BWR) valve assemblies, and snout machines.
Both standard and custom designs are available to produce accurate, repeatable readings over a wide operating temperature range; LVDT is to monitor the valve and actuator positions inside turbines.
Bestech Australia offers HSAR and HLR LVDT sensors for position measurement at high temperature, and in mild radiation environments with hazardous location approvals. The conduit exit of the sensors ensures a hermetic seal from the operating environment and holds UL and ATEX requirements for Class I Division 2 and Zones 1 and 2.
Constructed with a mild radiation LVDT, the AST5300 AC output differential pressure transducer is supplied for liquid level monitoring of heavy water tanks and high temperature coolants.
The transducer is made of Inconel x750 and 316L for excellent corrosion resistance and can handle line pressures of 100 bar and measure differential pressure of 70 millibar. The signal is transmitted to an LVC4000 signal conditioner in a non-radiation area and converts the signal to voltage, 4-20mA, or RS-485 output.
With push-button calibration, the signal conditioner makes installation simple. The transducer can be packaged as a kit with the differential pressure transducer, radiation resistant cable, and signal conditioner.
