Origin supplies hot water to multi-storied, tenanted residential buildings through a centralised hot water plant, located within the building. Origin then heats the water for the entire building and customers are invoiced for their individual hot water consumption.

Bulk hot water
Bulk hot water is generated by a centralised plant designed to supply the hot water to all apartments within the building complex. We work with the building developer and the hydraulic consultant at the design stage to ensure an efficient system is installed. The Builder supplies and installs a centralised hot water plant. At completion, the owners corporation assumes responsibility of the hot water plant. Hot water accounts are billed by Origin directly using standard tariffs, and billed in cents per litre.

Serviced hot water
We begin at the design stage of residential developments to customise, supply and manage the hot water plant, and energy to provide hot water to end users. Gas can also be supplied to individual apartments for cooking equipment and heating, and to common property facilities such as heated swimming pools, barbeques and central heating.
